Shortbread
INGREDIENTS
- 8 oz. plain flour
- 8 oz. butter
- 4 oz. caster sugar
- 4 oz. cornflour
MAKES: 10 pieces | PREP: 10 mins | COOK: 25 mins
- Pre-heat an oven to 180°C / Gas Mark 4.
- Place all the ingredients into a food processor and process until they come together.
- Knead lightly and roll out to the desired thickness on a baking tray.
- Mark into squares, fingers, shapes etc.
- Bake in the moderate oven for approx 15-25 minutes, depending on the thickness.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool before breaking into pieces and storing in a tin.
