Flapjacks

INGREDIENTS

MAKES: 12 squares | PREP: 10 mins | COOK: 8/10 mins

  1. Pre-heat an oven to 175°C / Gas Mark 4.
  2. Add all the ingredients (except the oats) to a saucepan and melt together over a low heat, stirring as required.
  3. Add to oats and mix thoroughly.
  4. Grease a shallow baking tray and add the mixture, spreading evenly.
  5. Place in the oven and cook for 8 minutes for a softer texture or 9 – 10 minutes for a crispier texture.
  6. Remove from the oven and cut into suitably sized squares while still hot.
  7. Leave to cool before transferring to a biscuit tin.
