Denver Chocolate Pudding

INGREDIENTS

NOTE:
A pudding which is surprisingly easily made, but not recommended for overweight or diabetic people.

SERVES: 6 | PREP: 15 mins | COOK: 40 minutes

  1. Sift together the sugar, flour,baking powder and salt.
  2. Melt over hot water the butterand chocolate or cocoa.
  3. Add the chocolate mixture to theflour mixture and stir in milk and vanilla.
  4. Pour into a buttered baking dishabout 9” square. Over the topscatter, without mixing, the lastthree ingredients.
  5. Pour over the top 1¼ cups of coldwater or coffee.
  6. Bake for 40 mins. at 180°C / GasMark 4. Let stand at roomtemperature and serve cool but notchilled, either by itself or withwhipped cream or icecream.
