This is another day when I have no notes. My photographs show a warm and hazy day. We reached the confluence of the Saône and Rhône at Lyon. Once through the city we joined the ViaRhôna and followed the cycle path alongside the huge river, eventually turning off the path uphill under a narrow bridge to the main road, on the other side of which was our Ibis hotel. I was a little later than the others getting there and a beer was waiting on the table as I walked in.
