Day 5 – Thursday 26 July

Shrewsbury – Rest Day

We spent a restful day playing cricket and recouping energy after four days of fairly strenuous cycling. Mick and Liz drove into Shrewsbury to shop. They both ended up buying new shoes!? Liz’s sister Jenny drove out from Birmingham with her sons, David and Peter, along with Donald and Betty, Liz’s parents. When Liz and Mick returned we had lunch and spent the afternoon playing rounders. After our visitors had left we spent the remainder of the afternoon relaxing and then went out for an evening meal. We got to bed early in preparation for another strenuous day tomorrow.
